A Garden Inspired Wedding Filled With Movement, Texture & Intention
A Dream Garden Wedding Hidden in Anaheim Hills
There’s something incredibly surreal about designing the florals for your own wedding. As both the bride and floral designer behind Thread & Vine Floral, this day became so much more than just planning flowers — it became an opportunity to create an atmosphere that felt deeply personal, immersive, and inspired by nature itself.
Our vision from the beginning was to create a wedding that felt organic and romantic, almost as if the florals had naturally grown into the space. We leaned heavily into layered meadow-style installations, locally grown blooms, soft movement, and thoughtful details that transformed the entire environment rather than simply decorating it.
The Ceremony...
The ceremony space was designed beneath towering oak trees, where asymmetrical floral meadows framed the aisle and altar with soft texture and movement. Garden roses, clematis, tulips, cosmos, ranunculus, sweet peas, and delicate seasonal blooms were intentionally placed to create a feeling of abundance without losing the airy, natural quality we love so much.

One of the most important design elements for us was allowing the surroundings to remain part of the story. Instead of overpowering the venue, the florals were designed to feel integrated into the landscape — enhancing the beauty that was already there.

The Reception...
For the reception, we carried the same philosophy throughout the entire space. Flowing ivory draping softened the architecture while hanging greenery and crystal chandeliers created a layered canopy overhead. We mixed meadow-inspired centerpieces with romantic candlelight and textured linens to create a setting that felt elegant, intimate, and deeply inviting.

One of my favorite design moments from the entire wedding was the sweetheart table installation. The floral meadow surrounding the table was intentionally designed to feel whimsical and untamed, almost as if it had naturally grown around us overnight. This style of floral design — movement-focused, layered, and nature-led — is at the heart of what we love creating at Thread & Vine Floral.

The Details...
And of course, the bouquet. I wanted something that felt romantic and artistic without feeling overly polished or traditional. The bouquet featured layered garden roses, delicate clematis, textural blooms, and trailing movement with a soft, painterly palette of peach, mauve, lavender, blush, and deep plum accents.

This wedding reminded me exactly why I love floral design so much. Flowers have the ability to completely transform a space — not just visually, but emotionally. They create atmosphere, softness, movement, and moments people remember long after the day is over.
